EAST LONGMEADOW, Mass., July 19, 2008 — LENOX, a leading manufacturer of

today announces that David Pirkle has been named its new President of
Industrial Products and Services, LENOX. In his new position, Pirkle
will report directly to Bill Burke, group president of tools and
hardware, Newell Rubbermaid.

Pirkle received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida and
his master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He joined
Newell Rubbermaid in 2002 as vice president of marketing for IRWIN
Industrial Tools. He then served as vice president of marketing for
Rubbermaid Foodservice Products where he assumed leadership of the sales
and engineering functions. Most recently, Pirkle was president of the
Amerock business. He and his family are relocating to the East
Longmeadow area in the near future.
