EAST LONGMEADOW, Mass. — LENOX, a leading manufacturer of premium power
tool accessories, hand tools and band saw blades, introduces its
distinctive new torpedo level. The new LENOX Torpedo Level is designed
to be a highly accurate, time-saving, durable and convenient precision
instrument for plumbers. The list of unique features includes a patented
integrated drainage SLOPE DETECT™ feature, durable cast aluminum
construction, strong rare-earth magnets, a built-in B tank valve key and
a plumb view mirror.
“The new LENOX Torpedo Level will satisfy all plumbers’ needs,” said
Emily Furnal, product manager for hand tools, LENOX. “Construction
professionals, especially plumbers, need their levels to be tough and
accurate with strong magnets that hold them in place. We designed this
new level to meet all of those needs and offer greater convenience as
well. Users of this level won’t be limited by weak magnets, poor
construction or imprecise measurement.”
Plumbers have historically struggled to accurately set drainage slope.
Drainage slope accuracy is required by code, but users have had to
“eyeball” this critical measurement. LENOX solved this problem. With
just a push of a button, the new level’s patented drainage SLOPE DETECT
feature allows the user to set drainage slope gradients at two settings,
1/8” and 1/4”
per foot.
Unlike most of the torpedo levels that use man-made strip magnets, the
new LENOX Torpedo Level uses Neodymium rare-earth magnets that are
superior to most competitive levels on the market.
A special mirror, viewable from the top of the level, enables the user
to view the plumb vial without turning the level on its side.
The level’s extended life characteristics come from durable cast
aluminum construction, enabling it to withstand being dropped from as
high as 10 feet without being damaged. The new LENOX Torpedo Level is a
compact 9” long, small enough for users to conveniently store it in
their pockets or in their toolbox.
For added convenience, an exclusive B tank valve key is built into the
level’s end. This replaces a tool that is often lost and adds
significant versatility to the level. Rather than waste valuable time
hunting down a tool that will open an acetylene tank, users can now
quickly open the tank using the level’s built-in key.
The launch of this new product category supplements the already
extensive line of LENOX premium-quality plumbing and electrical tools,
including the LENOX Tubing Cutter, Carbide Hole Cutter, ONE TOOTH® Rough
Wood Hole Cutter, LAZER™ reciprocating blades, LENOX hand and swivel
torches, and many more.
The LENOX Torpedo Level is sold through plumbing, electrical and
construction distributors nationwide.
